Skate 3 at Ramsgate

As a (ahem) avid skateboarder myself, I am very pleased to see the release of the new Skate 3 game on XBox and Playstation 3. This game is amazing and lets players build their ultimate skate team both offline and co-operatively to take on new challenges or competitive battles against other teams. Pretty cool hey.

Vice magazine sent 3 photographers off to Ramsgate and photograph some avid skateboarders, a little disappointed I wasn't invited have they not seen my skateboarding skills!!

nails + booze + the mystery jets = bloody good night

So I attended the Chevrolet Spark Launch Party last night in old Soho town and it turned out to be pretty damn good. There was beer to greet us, a car to spary paint (well through the use of intelligent computer technology stuff), nails to be painted, popcorn, a car DJ booth and of course The Mystery Jets who were bloody great!
This was all because of the Spark Chevrolet Tour which is kicking off this month. Basically its a 'pop up' tour where people vote which venue to have these gigs in which should result in some pretty amazing venues including an old swimming pool and the Mersey Ferry!
I didn't take any pictures as I came straight from work and forgot my camera but here are some I nicked from the Vice website(!).
Then to make the night even more fun we went for a cheeky pint at the John Snow in Soho (if you haven't been there go its very cheap), and chatted to some of the hottest men on earth (I will hunt down the stealth picture we took of them...dreamy!) and watched either a film or TV programme being made and this guy kept being repeatedly run over by a car. Brill.

Wah Nails Car, blam

Vice and Nike...new ipod app!

Having only recently come an ipod convert (after years of saying i will never get one!, its surprising what a free ipod touch will do) I have got slightly obsessed with apps. As part of the VBN I was asked to look into the new app from Nike called Nike True City. Give it a chance to download as it took me a while but that may just be my slow internet connection but when it is done it is definately worth it. The app combines the cool of Vice and Nike brands and lets you have the inside scoop into European cities including London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris.
I think the best thing which I have found so far on the app for London is the lliffe Yards in SE17, this is a collection of cobbled yeards housing artisans, craftpeople and book publishers, The Electric on Portabello Road (cinema/pub) and Gurkha Nepalese restaurant in South London.
